Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to provide you with details about Music Centre rehearsals and concerts in the lead up to our Festive period.
Festive Concerts
This year we have two Festive Concerts at the Beach Ballroom. They are on Tuesday, December 9th, and Wednesday, December 10th.
We ask that pupils arrive at the Beach Ballroom for 6pm on their performance nights. On performance nights they will need to be signed in at the Beach Ballroom entrance door that is closest to the Beach Leisure Centre.
Once signed in, pupils will be in the care of Music Service staff until the end of the concert. At the end of the concert we ask that you remain in the auditorium. Your child will be brought down to you. There are some older children who make their way home independently at the end of concerts and rehearsals. We will only be able to release your child from the site alone if this has been indicated on their registration form.
We are not able to facilitate children being collected or leaving the site during the concert, so we do ask that if your child is performing you plan for them to stay on site with Music Service staff for the duration of the concert.
The main entrance of the Beach Ballroom will open at 6.30pm for audience members, and the concerts will start at 7pm. The approximate finish time for the concerts is 9pm.
The image below shows the main entrance of the Beach Ballroom. There is disabled access at the back of the building – please do get in touch in advance if you know this is required so that we can help with opening the correct doors.

Dress code for the concerts is Music Service hoodies/T-shirts, black clothing, school uniform or Christmas jumpers.

Please carefully check that you are purchasing tickets for the correct night. If you have any problems with ticketing, please contact the Beach Ballroom directly.
If, for any reason, you are not in a financial position to be able to purchase tickets please do get in touch with the Music Service ( MusicService@aberdeencity.gov.uk ) and we will support you.
Festive Concert final rehearsal arrangements
We will be holding a final rehearsal for some groups at the Beach Ballroom on Monday, December 8th.
The schedule for this is as follows:

For this final rehearsal children should be dropped off and collected from the Main Entrance of the Beach Ballroom fifteen minutes before their allotted rehearsal time. Parents will not be permitted to go beyond the foyer area during the rehearsal times.
For rehearsals and performances, children are permitted to bring food and drink with them. We do ask that they make sure that snacks are nut free. If needed, please remember to bring instruments and any copies of the music that have been handed out. Your child will not need a music stand. We do recommend that they bring a bottle of water as the backstage areas can be warm.
